Dixon apparently happily works extra shifts for no pay and is utterly devoted to the police service. He is reported as honest, truthful and reliable, though almost totally lacking in imagination. Questions have been raised about his police skills, particularly his ability to actually notice anything. He has come into contact with the kittens and their activities on numerous occasions without once bringing a prosecution.
